Subject: 1200XL VIDEO MOD

I have a 1200XL rambo to 256k ram and I just purchased a commodore monitor
18??
on the monitor flashes on and off and the picture is unsteady ,some of the 
type written info is illegible. Was there ever a video modification for the 
1200XL to fix this problem.

That would be the Commodore 1802, one of the more popular monitors for the
8-bit Atari.  And as far as I know, this includes the 1200XL.

So my guess would be that either your monitor or your computer is unhealthy
and could use repairs.  Check the monitor with another video source to help
determine which is the culprit.
