Your screen jitters require the Ben  Poehland "SUPER  XL VIDEO II"
upgrade.  Send a large  SASE to the below address and I will return you
a full copy of the upgrade.   Requires a couple capacitors, resistors 
easily available at your local Radio Shack, and some soldering skill, maybe
some heatshrink tubing.  Although three of the pins on the power connector
say +5v, these 3 pins are all connected together, they are not 3 separate
+5 sources.  Having more than one pin carry either +5 or ground reduces
the resistance at the connector, thus reducing additional voltage drop 
across the power connector and cord.   You should use at least a 1A 
supply, more if you have more  RAM, extra OS ROMS, lots of cartridges, 
P:R: connection boxes or stuff like that, as they all draw power from the
computer.
