  Do you by any chance know the Verticle BLANK (VVBLKD) register?
"Mapping the Atari" says that the registers are 548 & 549, but
this isn't so.

        Please reread the section around548 in Mapping The Atari.  VVBLKD at
548,549 is a DEFERRED vector register.
The immediate VBLANK vector resides at
VVBLKI (546,547).
