From: ae728 Subject: 2600 cart. Date: Sun Jul 30 09:30:43 1989 I have just got a 130xe computer and I have many Atari 2600 cart. and the 2600 machine. There are many cart. that I enjoy playing but I don't want to keep both systems. Is there any way I can play my 2600 game cart. on my Atari 130xe computer? ** Answered by JOHN SUCHY (aa271) on Thu Oct 1 10:48:45 1987 ** To the best of my knowledge, and that of my associates, nobody has developed the hardware needed to use 2600 cartridges with the computer line. That doesn't mean it can't be done, it just hasn't been. Another side to your question is whether to keep both systems: I think you should. If you are at all hooked on the computer, you will soon discover that you really need a good monitor to make the best possible use of it. That will free up your TV for the games, again. For now, there's no rush. There is no law against hooking up TWO game switches to the back of your TV! Your Co-sysop John E. Suchy aa271 Thanks for asking.
