From: visitor Subject: Subj: INTERNATIONAL TELEX DIRECTORY Date: Sun Jul 30 09:31:19 1989 Although I understand it is possible to send Telex messages using a personal computer, how can one obtain international Telex numbers? As far as I know, only the Library of Congress in Washington has an international Telex directory. But they refuse to answer directory questions over the telephone. So, is there an online source for international Telex numbers available to the general public? ** Answered by JOHN SUCHY (aa271) on Thu Oct 8 11:27:28 1987 ** The dates and position of this Q & A entry have been changed due to a need for a complete update: Most of the things you want to know about Telex are now available on line on the service. Signing up and accessing Telex are almost as easy as going on line with them. Prices range from $.35/minute for U.S. calls to $6/ minute for some overseas calls. For further information, please contact our "resident Telex professional": Tom Wolfe ac262 Your Co-sysop John E. Suchy aa271 Again, thanks for asking.
