Sounds more like you through it way out of adjustment!.
If you were turning a ferid(sp?) core/slug, maybe you inaverdently broke it and through it way out of ajustment.(that's if you were trying to adjust the vidio modulator)
If you were trying to adjust the color clock, then maybe you could get the computer to boot back up properly with a screen by adjusting the pot alittle and rebooting.
Don't know if any of this will help you.
