I don't know the answer but I have a few suggestions. First, freenet-in-a.cwru.edu is the machine that everyone in the world tries to connect to first. It is very busy. Try freenet-in-b.cwru.edu and see if you get in. The second possibility is that we have two different versions of telnet running on the two machines. freenet-in-a is running an older version and freenet-in-b is running the latest version. However, most people have had problems with the NEW version because it has too many options. (the old telnet assumes that there will be no more than 35 negotiable options - the new one has 42 I think) And finally, there was a runaway process on freenet-in-a that increased the load on the system to the point where telnet could have timed out before the connection was completed. So I guess you should try again and if freenet-in-a doesn't work try freenet-in-b. Good luck! -- xx999 -- The System Programers Send all bug reports to xx999!
