From: ah190@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Stuart Pearl) Subject: Free modem manual Date: Wed Dec 11 21:24:16 1991 I've just found out that Ohio Bell is offering at no charge a Complimentary Modem Manual Guide. Since a lot of discussion and Q & A occurs here concerning modems, I thought this would be a good place to post the info. Here's the text of the information: "Work at Home? COMPLIMENTARY MODEM MANUAL GUIDE IS AVAILABLE If you operate a business from your home and are considering buying a computer modem, Ohio Bell is offering, at no charge, a very helpful booklet. It's called "THE HOME OFFICE MODEM REFERENCE MANUAL." The manual is a problem-solving guide that helps remove the guesswork from buying, installing and using a modem. The booklet includes sections on troubleshooting modems as well as videotext problems and a handy glossary of frequently-used computer terms. To receive a complimentary copy of the "THE HOME OFFICE MODEM REFERENCE MANUAL," call toll free1-800-447-3021. Please allow two to four weeks for delivery." I haven't seen this booklet myself yet but plan to order one. I'd be curious to hear other folk's reactions to the pamphlet. Let us know...... -stu -- ---===<<< Stuart Pearl >>>===--- Cleveland, Ohio ah190@cleveland.freenet.edu --------------------
